| Glasgow Celtic Scottish Premier League soccer tickets. RESERVE games and mind games but, recently, Rab Douglas has enjoyed precious few first team games. Cast as the villain during a half-time scuffle in the Celtic Park tunnel during the UEFA Cup match against Barcelona in March, he was sent off, handing young David Marshall his chance. But while he was held culpable for the blows that were thrown, it was the former Scotland and Celtic No.1 who was left bruised and battered, albeit metaphorically. And it has taken ten months for the damage to heal.
But the lengthy rehabilitation process is finally nearing completion. Stripped of seniority, which was surrendered to a lad more than ten years his junior, a hip operation in the summer then saw him slip even further down the pecking order. When a switch was considered necessary earlier this season, it was Magnus Hedman who was given the nod but, having bided his time and played second and third fiddle, as well as more reserve games than he would have liked, Douglas is now the man in possession. |

| Glasgow Celtic Scottish Premier League soccer tickets. "Tynecastle was a big one, because everybody thought Marshy would be right back in, but I had plugged away in the reserves and maybe that was me getting my reward for it. But I only knew when the gaffer read out the team. It was only Marshy and myself in training, though, so I knew I had a 50/50 shot."
Signed just fourth months after Martin ONeills arrival at the club, Douglas was ensconced as the last line of defence at the expense of Jonathan Gould. At that stage the biggest concern was his ability to adapt to the greater levels of concentration required as an Old Firm goalkeeper. But if long periods of inactivity during a game are something he soon learned to contend with, long periods of inactivity on the sidelines are something he has yet to feel at ease with, even if mastering the mind games means he is now more qualified to cope with it. |
