| UCLA made its second Las Vegas Bowl appearance in the last three years while Wyoming made its first ever such trip and made its first bowl appearance since 1993.
After Wyoming rallied for a 24-21 win, UCLAs record in bowl games dropped to 12-13-1 all-time while Wyoming improved its postseason mark to 5-6. The Cowboys broke a six-game bowl losing streak for their first such win since downing Florida State in the 1966 Sun Bowl. The win improved the Mountain West Conference to 4-2 in the Las Vegas Bowl since the league was formed. The Pac-10 fell to 3-2 all-time in the game. Overall, teams that make up the MWC stand 5-4 all-time in the game. |
