| After the University of Louisville basketball team beat rival Cincinnati 69-66 yesterday to give coach Rick Pitino his first victory over the Bearcats in Fifth Third Arena, senior Ellis Myles hoisted up junior Taquan Dean and carried him the length of the court and out toward the locker room.
"That wasn't nothin'," Myles said. "He's a lightweight. He deserved it. He carried us the whole game." For much of the way against the No.18 Bearcats (14-2, 2-1 Conference USA), the No.19 Cardinals (14-3, 3-1) were overdrawn at Fifth Third. They fell behind 10-0, then 25-8. They looked tentative and unwilling to challenge Cincinnati's aggressive defense. |
